Pastor Daniel T Mangrum

Pastor Daniel T. Mangrum has served as the Pastor of Cornerstone Peaceful Bible Baptist Church for over 34 years. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Divinity Degree from Howard University, where he was awarded the Vernon Johns Preaching Award.

After planting the Cornerstone Baptist Church on June 3, 1984, he presided over the merger with Peaceful Bible Baptist Church on November 7, 1987. Over the course of almost four decades, Pastor Mangrum has been a faithful Shepherd to God’s flock. For more than 20 years his television ministry, airing on several local cable channels, reached millions with the gospel of Jesus. He served as the president of the ACTS Television Network, an organization made up of local pastors in the Washington Metropolitan region. As the ministry needs have expanded, the church has relocated four (4) times and built three (3) church edifices from the ground up – one in Hyattsville, MD and two in Upper Marlboro, MD, on Crain Highway and now on Frank Tippett Road. 

In 1991, Pastor Mangrum along with his wife, Pastor Sabrina, founded the Excellence Christian School, fully accredited serving grades K-3 to eighth. As a former public school teacher, Pastor Mangrum sought to establish a quality Christian environment with a challenging, accelerated academic program. This school has served hundreds of children, and many have excelled in their academic pursuits. Pastor Mangrum continues to preach with a passion and serve with a diligence, as he ministers the gospel of Jesus Christ. Several years ago, Pastor Mangrum released his first book, “Crossover Changes”. This past year he released his second book entitled, “Spiritual Mindset.” A gifted Bible expositor and teacher, Pastor Mangrum continues to command a large audience on social media and at local churches. He is a devoted husband to the love of his life, Pastor Sabrina Mangrum, and father to two very special children, Danielle Sabrina and Diamond Shekinah. 

His favorite scripture is Psalms 1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly but his delight is in the law of the Lord. And in his law does he meditate day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water he shall bring forth is fruit in his season and his leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.”
